 | 6th Nov 2006 | NORTH LONDON LINE
Part of this historic line is due to close shortly so a visit is required. Closure will be from Stratford to North Woolwich. This was part of the Eastern Counties Railway before being taken over by the Great Eastern. It's single line from Custom House, the original platforms are still in place. The line from Stratford has now closed and another piece of railway disappears into history!.

 | 30th Oct 2006 | LONGPORT
Longport is now a shadow of its former self. EWS had warehousing on the Upside & Marcroft Wagon Works used the Downside as overflow storage for their works to the south of Stoke. More recently wagons were cut up on site. It would make a good modelling opportunity as both headshunts are connected to the goods loops to the north.
